- Download Midwinter_Testers_Build_v1.exe (button above).
- Run the installer and follow the prompts.
- Launch Midwinter from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.
Windows SmartScreen: the installer is unsigned, so Windows may show a
"Windows protected your PC" warning. Click More info → Run anyway to continue.
MINIMUM
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- RAM: 8 GB
- Graphics: DirectX 12 GPU (GTX 1060 / RX 580 or better)
- Storage: 6 GB available
RECOMMENDED
- OS: Windows 11 64-bit
- RAM: 16 GB
- Graphics: GTX 1660 / RTX 2060 / RX 5600 XT or better
- Storage: 6 GB on an SSD
5 · WHAT TO TEST
- Does it launch and run smoothly? Note your GPU and rough FPS.
- Core movement — skiing, walking, vehicles: does it feel right?
- Anything that crashes, freezes, or looks visually broken.
- Controls / key bindings that feel wrong or don't work.
- Anything that pulls you out of the experience.
6 · REPORT WHAT YOU FIND
The more detail the better — what you did, what happened, your specs, and a screenshot if you can.

Sniping: ski right up next to a tree and press X to snipe. Note that sniping from the Church is currently broken — try a different building instead, and look around for targets and killable enemies.
